Out of this darkness comes a fierce desire for peace. Following Jesus as he returns to where he’s taken some of his most powerful photos we not only see the grief and suffering of the families, but discover the parallel journey that all Colombians must take if they are to create a lasting peace; forgiveness. Its particularly moving to see the perpetrators of these dreadful deeds such as a FARC Commandante returning to face the bereaved to ask forgiveness for massacring their loved ones.
“Peace isn't just guns falling silent", reflects Chucho. ”Peace is much bigger than that. It needs everyone's commitment."
